Step 6 (Suggested)

  • Make plans for your stay in Sydney.
  • It’s preferable to reserve short-term lodging before arriving in Australia and then explore for longer-term choices once you’ve there. This gives you more time to tour the neighborhoods and look at the properties, which can help you choose the best option for you. Budget hostels and hotels are examples of temporary lodging.
  • Study NSW has compiled a list of student housing alternatives in Sydney and around NSW.
  • You must notify your education provider of your residence address within seven (7) days of arriving in Australia, following visa condition 8533 on your student visa grant. If your residential address changes, you must notify your education provider within seven days.
  • Completion is required two weeks before departure.

Step 7 (Suggested)

  • Plan your transportation to and from Sydney Airport.
  • For information on transfer possibilities, please contact your education provider or visit the Sydney Airport website.
  • One week before leave, complete.

Step 8 (Required)

  • Within 24 hours of arrival, get a COVID-19 nose and throat PCR test.
  • To get a test, go to your nearest NSW Health free testing clinic. To discover a clinic near you, go to the NSW Health website. Here are the obligatory testing requirements set forth by NSW Health.
  • Within 24 hours of arrival in NSW, complete the task.

Step 9 (Required)

  • On or after the seventh day of arrival, get a COVID-19 nose and throat PCR test.
  • To get a test, go to your nearest NSW Health free testing clinic. To discover a clinic near you, go to the NSW Health website. Here are the obligatory testing requirements set forth by NSW Health.
  • Complete on or after day seven after you arrive in New South Wales.

Step 10 (Suggested)

  • Install the Service NSW app on your device.
  • Get the Service NSW app for your smartphone. While living in NSW, you will be able to check in at places like supermarkets or restaurants and receive COVID-19 updates.
  • The Service NSW Mobile App is available for download.
  • Complete whenever you want before going out in public in NSW.

Step 11 (Suggested)

  • In the Service NSW app, upload proof of your COVID-19 vaccine.
  • If you aren’t eligible for Medicare, you can still use myGov’s Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) service to add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service NSW app. As a result, you’ll be able to check in promptly and present proof of your COVID-19 immunization wherever it’s needed.

Students who are traveling to different states and territories (Queensland, SA, Tasmania, WA, NT)

From December 15, 2021, students will be able to travel to other Australian states. Students must first fly to NSW, Victoria, or the Australian Capital Territory. For example, if your student has been granted a visa for the Perth campus, they will not be able to purchase tickets to Perth International Airport directly. They should fly to either Sydney or Melbourne International Airport. The student must quarantine after they arrive in a state other than the ACT, NSW, or Victoria.
